My Story
From 9% to Top in the World - and why I believe everyone can excel
Hi, I'm Khulekani Milton Ngwenya
I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, and I've always had a passion for teaching and technology.
The Humbling Beginning
My passion for tutoring Mathematics started in Grade 11, but not from a place of strength. I struggled deeply with IGCSE Additional Mathematics - my first Add Maths test came back with a score of 9%.
This was humbling. I had come from Grade 10 Mathematics thinking I was a master of the subject. Grade 11 showed me otherwise.
The Turning Point
Everything changed at the start of Grade 12. I made a decision to change my mindset. But more importantly, I found a mentor - my high school teacher who became responsible for my inspiration.
I practiced daily. When motivation ran low, I approached my mentor. What I discovered was profound: as you study, you need someone to help things click. You need someone who has been where you have been.
"Mathematics goes deeper than equations - it's a way to build confidence that usually falls onto other subjects too."
